What’s so bad about added terpenes?

We love terpenes, as they naturally occur in cannabis flowers, and all other plants, for that matter. They are the reason for those intoxicating aromas which provide so much joy, relief, and refreshment to life! However, when they are concentrated/extracted from plants, many of them turn into powerful solvents themselves, capable of dissolving paint and plastic, or your penetrating cell walls, where they can cause harm to your mitochondria. The quantities added to most CO2 oils may be dangerous; there is not yet much publicized science about these risks, so we advocate the “better safe than sorry” approach to selecting cannabis products.
